Dr. Brodersen joined the Allen College faculty in 1999 after working primarily in cardiac surgical intensive care for 16 years. Her academic degrees include doctorates in nursing and education, master’s degrees in nursing and English, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and a diploma in nursing. She has taught a variety of courses while employed at Allen College, including medical surgical nursing, nursing research, and academic writing. Currently she teaches evidence-based practice and biostatistics in the graduate nursing program. Dr. Brodersen regularly assists students and faculty with research and evidence-based practice project design and data analysis. She is an active member of several professional organizations, has authored and co-authored several scholarly publications, and regularly reviews manuscripts for nursing education journals.
