Barrett Library (Barrett Forum, Allen College)

Barrett Library, located in the Barrett Forum at Allen College, serves as the information center for nursing and health sciences programs (radiography, diagnostic medical sonography, medical laboratory sciences, occupation therapy, public health, and medical imaging). Local holdings include books, journals, video recordings, online databases, NCLEX study materials, career/educational  resources, and more. An online catalog provides access to physical materials held at Barrett Library, as well as materials held at other Cedar Valley Library Consortium institutions. Eight dedicated computers provide access to EBSCO (including CINAHL, MEDLINE, PsycINFO, Nursing Reference Center Plus, and Rehabilitation center & SPORTSDiscus Full Text), Gale (including Nursing fundamental database, ACADEMIC ONEFILE, EDUCATOR’s REFERENCE COMPLETE), ProQuest (including Nursing & Allied Health Source and PsycARTICLES), Ovid, OT Search, ICE Video Library, and PubMed databases for clinical and educational research.
