Irene Johnson Moody, Class of 1945

Irene is a graduate of the Allen School of Nursing class of 1945. She worked as a night supervisor at Allen Memorial Hospital and staff nurse at the former Schoitz Memorial Hospital in the obstetrics and chemical dependency units. When asked what her profession was, she was always proud to say she was a graduate of Allen Memorial Hospital Lutheran School of Nursing. Her life itself brings honor to her school. She has spent her entire career as a hard-working, caring, honest and selfless nurse. Irene always promotes and encourages the nursing profession, and her positive attitude has encouraged several family members to enter the profession.
