Kristen Grapp joined the Allen College School of Nursing faculty in 2022. She is pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Allen College, and previously obtained a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Allen College. She completed her Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) at Hawkeye Community College. She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Her teaching responsibilities focus on professional concepts in nursing, medical/surgical nursing, aging adult considerations, and end of life/palliative care. She also serves in the Allen College DeBonis Free Clinic with nurse practitioner students.

What do you enjoy most about teaching at Allen College?
I enjoy the size of Allen College and the relationships I develop with the students. The faculty at Allen College truly care about our students, and I am thankful to be a part of such a great organization!
