Braley to Address Allen College Graduates

WATERLOO, Iowa—U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley of Iowa will speak at May commencement for Allen College on Friday, May 6, at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Commencement will begin at 3 p.m.

Braley was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2006, and was re-elected to a second term in November 2008. Prior to serving in the House of Representatives, he worked in Waterloo as an attorney for 23 years.

Braley was born and raised in Iowa and attended Iowa State University in Ames, where he earned a B.A. in 1980. He graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law, in Iowa City in 1983.

Allen College will award 111 diplomas to graduates. The college will award 16 diplomas in the Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) program, 55 in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, four in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHS) program and 36 in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program.
