Allen College Reports Another Increase in Fall Enrollment

WATERLOO, Iowa—Allen College reports another increase in overall enrollment for fall semester 2013, and increased enrollment in its graduate program. Graduate program enrollment is up by 10-percent with 183 students, compared to 166 students in the fall of 2012. In all, 580 students are enrolled at Allen College, a 5-percent increase in total enrollment from a year ago.

Students in Allen’s graduate program are pursuing either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, post-graduate certificate or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Students in Allen’s undergraduate program are enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Associate of Science in Radiography (ASR) or Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHS) programs.
In the summer of 2014, Allen College will begin to enroll students in a new, online BHS program. This one-year program prepares students for careers in public health that focus on interventions and programs to improve people’s health and quality of life. The program is open to students who have completed 87 hours of general college education.
