Allen Hospital X-Ray Department | Print |  E-mail

In 1928... this was the X-Ray Department. It had been equipped with a Victor-Snook x-ray machine, a standard table and a standard portable x-ray machine. There were fluoroscopic and radiographic examinations of all parts of the body.

In 1950... the third floor housed the X-Ray department, and it was one room, which at one time had been a patient's room. "We had an ancient machine. The table was not power driven. You had to crank it up by hand. It had a spot film device that you could move over and take one film and move it back. The fluoroscopy tube was open and had coil wires that were in spools"...
